"The Holy Spirit will teach you everything
and remind you of all I have said to you."
and remind you of all I have said to you."
(Gospel Acclamation)

We are getting closer to the Feast of Great Love, Pentecost, when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus not only gave us Himself in the Eucharist, He wanted us to have us much help as possible, so He also sent the Holy Spirit. The first time was at Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles and filled them with many gifts to help them spread the Good News.
We also receive these gifts - in a very special way at Confirmation, but we can ask for them before then too.
We will talk about some of these gifts over the next days.
Thank you, Jesus, for sending your Holy Spirit with all His gifts. How much you love us and want to take good care of us!
(Allow any spontaneous prayers, perhaps leading by example. 3-6 year olds relate most naturally to God through prayers of praise and thanksgiving; 6+ will have started thinking about their needs and the needs of those around them in prayers of intercession. Some children may also just want quiet time to speak with God in their hearts.)
(Sing a simple hymn or chant if your children like singing. Or even if they don't ;) This can also be done at the beginning. )
